Steve Jobs (Part 2)
From the second portion of the movie, more of Steve Jobs's character was revealed. He was willing to receive help from others, but despised it when someone stole his ideas, such as Bill Gates. This scene from the movie depicts that Steve Jobs was a person of integrity. He was not the type of person to want all the credit for himself when he clearly had a team that helped him. Not many people can do this because once one's product becomes popular, one wants all the credit. Even though this scene depicted his integrity, in a way it also reveals his hypocrisy. Steve Jobs had promised that he would not get involved with the music industry, but eventually does with iTunes. Although the idea of iTunes was not stolen by Steve Jobs, the fact that he goes back on his promise makes him lose some of his integrity.

Another interesting part of the movie is when Steve Jobs is re-hired by Apple. He does a good job of not taking advantage of his power as CEO. I realize he fires most people of the board, but he had legit reasons to do so. I know if I was in that position, I would seek revenge on everyone who had not given me a chance, like they did to Steve Jobs in the beginning. Thus, after seeing that part of the movie, his integrity seemed to go back to its original level. Overall, I can respect the work and actions of Steve Jobs. He went through difficulties, yet maintained a level head. He made his passion for his work be the motivation for his work rather than negative emotions. Therefore Steve Jobs is seen as a role model to many people.

Steve Jobs (Part 1)

Steve Jobs was a fan of the underdog because he was against the big corporations that overpowered the smaller companies. He wanted Apple to be the company that does not conform to the ways of those "big shot" corporations that only cared about profits. Although, this was his goal, I consider present day Apple to be a big corporation. I only say this because Apple has risen so much in popularity that it is considered to be a big corporation. I am sure Apple still cares about their products, but I think they are also starting to look more at profit as well. This was inevitable though because if they only cared about the product, they would not be able to financially sustain the company. Therefore, I believe that Steve Jobs intent is still a major part of Apple products.

Apple products have simply made my life more convenient. Everyone wants the easiest and most efficient way to do things, and Apple products do exactly that. I have experienced this because I own many Apple products such as iPhone, iPad, iPod, and MacBook. The biggest impact these devices have had is the way I do my schoolwork. I am proud to open up my Mac or take out my iPhone, so it is easier to do work at school. If I had other brands of technology, I cannot be positive that I would work as hard at school since no one would acknowledge the devices I use. Although their are other smartphones and laptops that can do the same exact things, I prefer the image given off by Apple Products. Owning Apple products also has the effect of being able to connect with others who have them as well. These connections can be towards celebrities or the people around you.
